Democracy: The God that Failed: The Economics and Politics of Monarchy, Democracy, and Natural Order by Hans-Hermann Hoppe
This book is mostly brilliant, but I feel that the author sometimes indulges in generalizing his own preferences about certain characteristics of a particular type of community in which he would like to live, which I believe differs in some respects from communities in which I and many others would like to live. The actual arguments forwarded in the bulk of the book, however, suggest a framework in which a broad diversity of particular community forms could evolve and thrive, only some of which might include particular characteristics of the kind he happens to suggest.
